What wears it off between visits

  • Skipping conditioner

    Dermatologists advise using a conditioner or treatment after every shampoo, not just now and then.

  • Rough handling when wet

    Hair is at its most fragile when wet. Rubbing it with a towel roughs it up. Wrap it in a towel or T-shirt instead, and detangle with a wide-tooth comb.

  • Hot air

    In a lab study, the hotter the dryer, the more damage it did to the hair’s surface. Use a low or medium setting, and let your hair air-dry when you can.

  • Pool water

    Most swimmers on Japan’s national team had discoloured hair with a damaged outer layer. Rinse your hair straight after a swim, then wash and condition it.

How to use it

  1. Wash and rinse

    Wash with Scalp Cleansing Shampoo and rinse it out well.

  2. Smooth it through

    On the ends if your hair is fine or straight, along the full length if it’s dry or curly.

  3. Leave it for 3 to 5 minutes

    Long enough to finish the rest of your shower.

  4. Rinse well

    Rinse thoroughly, paying attention to your scalp, then blot your hair dry with a towel.
